HUGH MASEKELA - Almost Like Being in Jazz

This premier release from the newly formed audiophile recording label "Straight Ahead Records" features Hugh Masakela on flugelhorn, Larry Willis on piano, John Heard on bass and Lorca Hart on drums. The recording was made at Bernie Grundman's (a partner in Straight Ahead) studio on Oct. 15th - 17th, 2004 and was mixed directly to two track analog tape. Tunes include "You'll Never Know", "Paper Moon", "I Remember Clifford" among others - all to which Masekela brings a unique new interpretation. Available both as a 2 LP set mastered by Bernie Grundman on an all tube cutting system and pressed on Classic's 200g Super Vinyl Profile and as a Dual Disc containing CD quality audio on one side and high resolution 96/24 quality DVD-A and/or DVD-V audio on the flip side. Produced by Stewart Levine, recorded and mixed by Scott Sedillo using equipment designed and built by the Chief Electronic Design Engineer at BGM - Beno May. Not to be missed!
