Bernie Grundman wins Grammy for Album of The Year!
Bernie Grundman ...our very own co-founder and executive producer @ Straight Ahead Records WINS GRAMMY for Herbie Hancock record! Bernie of course is the master of mastering-this is his second. They've only been giving Grammy's for mastering in the last 5 or so years- if they'd been giving it longer - he wouldn't just have 2 , he'd have 20! BUT we're happy there's any!
SAR Interview
Mix Magazine's Bud Scoppa came by last week to interview Bernie & the SAR staff and we'll appear in the December Mastering issue. Other mags will be featuring us soon and the long road to GRAMMY 2009 really starts here & now. If you're not a voting member and you have enough credits, become one and support a label that is "THE PEOPLES RECORD LABEL" We're here working with all of our resources making music for you. With your support, we will be able to continue to do so- We want to put out many recordings with more genre depth as well. It takes a lot to make even one record! Rocky Mountain Audio Fest update! Bernie Grundman's seminars were amazing to say the least. With help from some major companies such as Boulder Amplifiers, Hansen Audio (speakers) and more (to be mentioned soon) Some show goers called our auditorium the BEST IN SHOW! WOW! an auditorium. We had our challenges with that 50 seat room- but it was a snap for the guys to make it sound absolutely stunning. Wes Bender , Rich Maez and of course Garth from Clear Audio (turntable set up) got that room singing. Of course , Straight Ahead's booth was never a dull moment - With both listening stations always occupied & Bernie autographing like crazy- it was clearly a welcomed addition to RMAF. Managing Director Paul Grundman was pretty much there from open to close every day!
